Anyone have ideas for a twisted fairy tales halloween themed party?

I need some ideas for a twisted fairy tales halloween party. I'm good on the costumes. I need some ideas for party decorations and invitations. Can anyone help me out?

I love everyone's ideas for the swirls in the decorations! Start there and add in the "evil aspects of the fairy tales -

You can use cues from Alice in Wonderland for your invitations such as an envelope sticker that says "Open Me" and an RSVP card that says "Reply to Me". Use wording like "Follow us down the Rabbit Hole for a night filled with Twisted Fairy Tales". "We will be very Grimm indeed if you do not reply by October 15th"

Or go with a witch motif. They are found in many fairy tales, Hansel and Gretal, Snow White etc.

Keep going with the fairy tale theme for your decorations. Poison apple make cute seating cards. And gingerbread houses are perfect centerpieces.

Maybe a pile of straw and a pile of gold colored yarn a la Rumpelstiltskin...

Fairy Tale Halloween Costume Ideas?

Going to a fairy tale costume party on Halloween with some old friends I havent seen in years, and to be honest I really want to show them up (I like to stand out, what can I say?) but I dont want to be slutty, even though I dont want to look to conservative either.

Anyways, my only problem is my butt. No joke, its big. I have quite the ghetto booty and I find it hard to wear a lot of custumes because I have to get it over my butt before it can get to my waist but when it gets there, its too big, because the difference between my butt and my waist is quite a bit. When i wear skirts (never) its normal sized in the front but goes up and exposes my @$$ in the back (urgh)

Anyways i guess what I'm asking is, what would be a good costume for a medium sized, big butt girl whos short and whats to look amazing?? Oh and I love wearing wigs

Ragdoll is so cute! the wig comes with it too. There's a sexy version at the top too - if you like it, just wear the white tights and not the striped ones.

A few ideas anyway - or use the pictures to create your own look. Shop at thrift stores for a plain blue dress - with a white apron to be Alice. Or a solid yellow dress with an apron could become Goldilocks or Miss Muffet. Draw a little spider on the apron - it would be so cute! A blonde wig would be cool for both - here's a cheap one!
